Leadership at Independo

Konstantin Strümpf

Co-Founder & CEO

Konstantin Strümpf is Co-Founder and CEO of Independo. He works on how accessible technology can become part of everyday digital life: useful for people who communicate with symbols, practical for the organizations around them, and sustainable enough to make a lasting difference.

Konstantin Strümpf

Accessible technology should not make people adapt to systems. It should help systems become easier to use, understand, and shape.

Konstantin Strümpf, Independo GmbH

Konstantin’s work started on the technical side, with a background in software engineering and full-stack development. Today, he brings that perspective into his role as CEO. At Independo, he focuses on product direction, AI and accessibility strategy, partnerships, sustainable financing, and the long-term development of the company.

Together with the team, Konstantin works on digital tools that make text-based systems more accessible for people with learning difficulties and complex communication needs. This includes tools for planning, reflection, self-documentation, and collaboration with families, professionals, and organizations.

His work is guided by a simple question: how can technology give people more agency instead of creating new barriers? For Konstantin, accessibility is not an extra feature at the end of a project. It is part of how digital systems should be built from the beginning.

Through international exchange and entrepreneurship programs, including the YTILI Fellowship, he also explores how inclusive technology can grow across different contexts. His goal is to help build structures that make accessibility possible not only in individual projects, but as part of everyday digital infrastructure.
