Julia Kruselburger

Julia’s path into accessibility began early: as a child, she took part in inclusive summer camps for children with and without disabilities. Since then, one idea has stayed with her: technology should be designed with people, not only for them.

Her background combines Biomedical Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and practical research experience. Before and alongside building Independo, Julia worked on research projects in prosthetics at Ottobock and studied how co-design can support innovation in assistive technology. Her work at Independo builds on this foundation: bringing together technical understanding, inclusive methods, and the lived realities of people who use digital tools in very different ways.

Today, Julia supports organizations in making communication, services, events, and digital products more accessible. She works with teams to identify barriers, use plain language, design more inclusive participation formats, and involve people with disabilities meaningfully in the development process.
